Brooklyn music label Puremagnetik and Hi-Fi Provisions continue the Variations for Dusk concert series at Industry City on November 20th. Now in its second month, the musician-curated Variations for Dusk is a limited capacity event that brings artists and listeners into an intimate space for an evening of improvised, experimental, musique concrète, and ambient music.  

The Larum Ensemble will begin the evening with the music of Hildegard von Bingen arranged for woodwinds and electronics with special guest, Jason Nazary on drums. This is part of their year-long journey researching, performing and recording the work of the 12th century composer, philosopher, and artist.

Virtuoso, Brandon Seabrook, will perform a solo set of improvisations for electric guitar. Widely recognized as a leading voice in creative music, Seabrook’s signature sound is an exciting addition to this month’s roster.

Acclaimed electronic maestro, Kodomo, will be closing the evening. The Emmy Award-winning composer and producer is celebrated for the distinctive crystalline sound worlds that he creates and inhabits with every piece. 

All attendees must show proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
