Sphine | Reflection Harvester

Not your usual reverb, Sphine is an echo harvester for designing bending spaces, shimmering atmospheres and endless sound washes. Its reflection matrix can produce everything from a beautiful room tone to an ethereal spiral of echoes. With two reverb algorithms, two delay circuits and constantly modulating reflections, Sphine encourages you craft dynamically evolving spaces that breathe life into your sound design endeavors.

Sphine Controls:

DIRECTION morphs between two distinct reverberation algorithms.

LENGTH sets the size of the space by attenuating a feedback array.

MOTION is the control that makes Sphine move. It controls several internal animations— such as feedback and reflection modulation. It also passes 5 individual random-walk controls to the delay, reverb and feedback sends.

SCAN determines how the delay signal is routed and how much of the entire signal chain feeds back into itself. Higher values create more dynamic shiftings.

START pauses the input signal up to 3 seconds before it hits the effects. This creates a canonical type effect that is most distinguished while MOTION is at a higher value.

TIME and ECHO act as delay time and feedback controls for the multitap delay. The delay line routing (pre or post algorithmic reverb) gets modulated depending on MOTION.
