Q: How does Puremagnetik work?

A: Each month, Puremagnetik publishes a new Micropak. A Micropak is a small and focused package of sounds usually themed around a specific instrument or style. When a new Micropak is published, it becomes Current. If you are a PM subscriber, you can download a current Micropak as soon as it becomes available. A Micropak will remain current for approximately 2 months until a new Micropak displaces it and it gets "back cataloged". All back cataloged Micropaks are available as one-off purchases for anyone (even non-subscribers!).


Q: What are the different types of subscriptions?

A: The All-Access Pass grants you access to the entire Puremagnetik catalog for one year. The Basic Monthly grants you access to the CURRENT month's published Micropaks. The Basic Yearly gives you access to the CURRENT month's Micropaks for one year. For Basic Monthly and Basic Yearly plans you can download the packs labeled "Current Download". Each month, there's a new "Current Download" added to the catalog.


Q: I have paid via PayPal and I still cannot log in.

A: If you paid by eCheck, there will be a lapse before your payment is approved and your account becomes active. According to PayPal, it takes 7-10 business days for eCheck funds to clear. Once PayPal has authorized your transaction you will receive an automatic email confirmation and you will be able to log in to Puremagnetik. If you have any further questions regarding eCheck payments, please contact PayPal directly as Puremagnetik does not have any involvement in transaction authorization.


Q: My subscription has been cancelled. What's up?

A: Your account is controlled by PayPal and may have been cancelled for a number of reasons, the most common being a change in your account information with PayPal. Your Puremagnetik subscription will still remain active for the duration of the term. If you wish to re-subscribe, simply login and choose from the available options. Please contact PayPal directly for more information.


Q: How do I cancel my recurring Puremagnetik Subscription?

GENERAL

Q: Is there a way to purchase a single pack from a past month?

A: Yes! Simply click the shopping car icon to purchase single Micropaks. You will be taken directly to our Share-It transaction gateway.


Q: Do you guarantee new Micropak releases each month? If so, how many?

A: We release new Micropaks on a monthly basis - but not necessarily at the beginning of every month. We do guarantee 1 release each month - generally within a 30 day period.


Q: Are Puremagnetik Micropaks compatible with my sampler and/or DAW?

A: Puremagnetik Micropaks are compatible with Live 7 & 8, Live 7 LE, Kontakt 3 and Logic 8. See the specific "System Requirements" on each Micropak's page.


Q: Are Puremagnetik Micropaks compatible with Live LE and Live Intro?

A: Puremagnetik Live Packs will install and load into Live LE and Intro and are perfectly playable. The Micropaks will be limited to Live LE's functionality and many parameters may remain inaccessible.


Q: Are there demos so I can hear this stuff before buying it?

A: Yes! There are little speaker icons toward the top of each Micropak's content page that will play demos of that particular pack.


Q: What kind of license do I get with PM content? To what extent can I use PM sounds? Will my sounds deactivate after a certain period of time?

A: Unless otherwise stated, once you have downloaded PM content it is yours to keep. You have an unlimited license to use PM sounds in the context of any musical and/or sound composition. You cannot redistribute or sell PM content as standalone sounds.


Q: Do your Live Packs work with Live 6/7/8?

A: We no longer support Live 6 or below. As of February 2010, new Micropaks will be for Live 8 only. All Micropak product pages have compatibility information toward the bottom of the page. Micropaks built for legacy versions of Live will work with newer versions (So if you buy a Micropak built for Live 7, it will be perfectly functional in Live 8).


Q: I just downloaded the "XYZ Micropak" and it's not extracting or installing properly.

A: Please double check to make sure that you downloaded the entire file. Make sure it is available in the format you are using.
